This Lagoon point of interest initially started out as a large terrace farm, but was turned into more of a hillside in order to make it easier to traverse.
The first step involved using height brushes to sculpt the bulk of the hillside farm’s terrain, then adding splines to form ridges, row crops, paths, roads, and various details.
Brushes were also used to designate areas to receive texture mapping, and for procedurally generated elements, like trees, wild flora, rocks, and boulders.
Shared prefabricated buildings were provided, which I laid out and adjusted to form the farmstead.
More brushes were then used to blend together and integrate the structures and land features to give the area a more lived in, natural feel.
Further set pieces were added later by the environment artist, such as the vehicles, farm equipment, more plants and rocks.
